Contexte
ID Capture's product suite had grown over the years without a unified design approach. Interfaces were information-dense, patterns inconsistent across tools, and no design system existed. They needed to build a coherent, consistent product experience across the entire suite.
CHALLENGE
Apply coherent design thinking across separate products, each with different platforms and user needs
Preserve existing workflows that field workers, project managers, and finance teams rely on daily
Create a shared visual language and coherent cross-tool navigation
Understand key features and workflows related to each product
APPROACH
Start with the foundations: design a cross-functional navigation and unified sidebar shared across all products. Then progressively redesign each product, beginning with document management, followed by on-site monitoring, the project portal, and financial tracking. The design system was built along the way, growing organically with each product iteration rather than being defined upfront.
Over the past five years, I have had the pleasure of working with Adrien Gervaix on the design of the screens for Smartbeam, our financial tracking software for the construction industry. Adrien grasped the specifics of the sector and turned our sometimes unclear ideas into clear user flows and functional, ergonomic, intuitive designs. His work genuinely helped improve our users' experience. It was also a pleasure to collaborate with someone organized and efficient, who respected budget and timeline constraints.

We documented reusable patterns for dense lists, filters, and empty states so teams could ship consistently. The library connects to design tokens for color, type, and elevation, with clear rules for when to use each variant.
